We are now # 4 in three of the polls and 5th in the BCS poll. I was able to watch most of the game on Saturday before we went to see some open houses, but by that point we were winning 41 to 14. I had a little bit of a fright when Syracuse went into the lead at the beginning of the game but determined that we had to just get the cobwebs out of our system. It was a very good game for the Big East opener. Did get to see part of the Ohio State and the Michigan State games. Was sorry to learn about the loss of Peterson for Oklahoma. Listened to the Cincinnati vs Louisville game on the radio and that was a shocker with it being that close at the end of the game. Will watch the Connecticut game on Friday night on ESPN and will have a sore throat on Saturday from the talking back to the TV.

Boy was I wrong on what the polls would do for the week. Michigan and Florida jumped over us in several of the polls.
But got on ESPN.com and found 2 interesting articles that should interest all
http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/columns/story?columnist=revsine_dave&id=2622480
and
http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/columns/story?columnist=schlabach_mark&id=2621405
But of these have some wonderful trivia numbers for the real football fan.
Of course we play Syracuse this Saturday at 12:00 pm and again I'm not seeing that the game will be televised. This is our Big East opening game and also our Homecoming game which will make Morgantown a wild place to be on Saturday. When I was there we had old Mountaineer Field on the downtown campus which was next to Sunnyside and all the bars which made for interesting after game parties.

Polls for week 7 what will happen
With Auburn (2), LSU (9), Georgia (10), Oregon (11), Oklahoma (14) and Florida State (17) all getting beat yesterday what will happen in the polls for this week. Of which 4 of these teams were undefeated before Saturday. I feel that Ohio State will stay at #1 with either WVU or USC at #2. The reason I'm saying WVU as a possibility for #2 is because USC had a rough game against Washington. I also feel that Louisville will move up in the polls do to the large point spreads they have had in their games.
One of the best games that I saw was the Tennessee vs Georgia last night. Erik Ainge Tennessee's quarterback had a very good game, he had 25 completions out of 35 attempts for a total of 268 yards and 2 touchdowns and was only sacked once. While the Georgia quarterback Joe Tereshinski III started out good after having 2 interceptions his team could not get the big mo back.

WVU 5-0
West Virginia University is now 5-0 for the football season and hopefully going on to 12-0 and the championship game. The worst thing about today's game is that they had 11 penalties for 135 yards, so I'm sure Coach Rodriguez was reaming the team out at the end of the game about that. Hopefully with the final score being 42-14 and since USC only won by the small amount of 6 points, WVU can leapfrog over them to number 2 in the polls. WVU will now start playing their Big East schedule. The next game is against Syracuse next Saturday at 12:00 pm hopefully this will be picked up by one of the TV networks and I will be able to see part of the game since the sauerkraut festival is this weekend and my mom and aunt want to go.
Now to thanking the ACC for taking Virginia Tech, Boston College and Miami since the Big East rule had been put into place stating that if a conference did not have a team in the final poll of 12 or better for 4 years they would loss their BCS bowl possibilities. Since the ACC was going down in the rankings and the Big East had had several National Championships the ACC decided that they needed to rape the Big East of several teams. Since they did that the Big East has continued to be a very good conference while the ACC has stayed about the same.
The Florida vs. LSU started out looking like is might be a good game and then Florida has went on the take this game on to win since it is now in the 4th quarter and the score is 23-7.
It also appears that Michigan will bet Michigan State to also keep them undefeated.
That will leave Ohio State, WVU, Florida, Michigan and Louisville being undefeated before the night games begin. Tonight Missouri, Boise State, Oregon and Georgia will try and stay undefeated.
